Polo G, whose real name is Taurus Bartlett, was arrested early Saturday morning on multiple charges in Miami and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
According to Local 10, jail records show that the 22-year-old rapper now faces battery charges on a police officer, threatening a public servant, resisting an officer with violence, resisting an officer without violence and criminal mischief.
Video posted on Twitter by @raphousetv2 shows a woman, who is believed to be the Polo’s mother, yelling at police officers following her son’s arrest and complaining about the number of officers on the scene to arrest her son.
“All of this for two boys? Where are my sons?…please, video all of this s***!” his mother screams, pointing at a crowd of police vehicles that were parked at the scene. “For two f***ing kids with no f***ing guns!”
Miami police would only confirm that they are investigating an incident involving Polo and a male juvenile but have not yet provided any further information.
