Raquel Lee Bolleau, a former cast member of “The Amanda Show,” has claimed that her co-star Amanda Bynes spat in her face multiple times during their time on the series.
“The Amanda Show,” which aired on Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2002, featured Bynes in various sketches and was popular among viewers for its comedic content.
Bolleau spoke out in the fifth episode of the documentary series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” where she described an incident while filming a sketch titled “The Literals.”
The 37-year-old alleged that Bynes intentionally spit directly in her face multiple times during the scene. Bolleau expressed her discomfort with the situation, stating, “Everybody thought it was so funny. Everybody’s laughing, but I did not find it funny. The third time, I was infuriated.”
Raquel claimed that the director instructed her to stay calm, reassuring her that Amanda was the show’s star. Despite her discomfort, Bolleau alleged that the director asked Bynes to refrain from spitting directly in her face but advised Raquel to handle the situation calmly.
These revelations come in the wake of similar allegations in the entertainment industry. Actress Melissa Joan Hart shared her positive experience at Nickelodeon during an appearance on the “Meghan McCain Has Entered The Chat” podcast. While Melissa acknowledged that her experience might not reflect everyone’s, she emphasized her lack of knowledge regarding other individuals’ experiences at Nickelodeon.
When asked about any “creepiness” she may have encountered, Melissa affirmed that she had “nothing but a wonderful experience” at the network. However, she acknowledged that her experience might differ from others.
