Raven-Symoné Says She Got Her First Breast Reduction at 15 “In Order to Get a Show” [Video]

Raven-Symoné, the beloved Disney star known for her role in “That’s So Raven,” has shared more insight about undergoing her first breast reduction and liposuction at just 15 years old.

Sharing candid details on her podcast, “Tea Time with Raven and Miranda,” the actress revealed the procedures were initially intended to aid her career in the entertainment industry.

“A triple D all the way down to a B… someone said I needed to do it in order to get a show,” she admitted, highlighting the intense pressures often placed on young acts in Hollywood.

She also shared that during the breast reduction surgery, she opted for liposuction as well, adding, “At the same time, I was like, ‘If you’re gonna take my boobs out, I want a lipo.'”

Reflecting on her experience, Symoné noted the complexities of breast reduction, mentioning that weight fluctuations could still affect her breast size to this day.

“The experience is a little different because any weight gain and loss would make the breast size fluctuate, even after the reduction,” the 38-year-old explained.

Back in August 2023, Symoné described the entire ordeal as “a mess,” pointing out that her father’s concern over her weight as a child star played a key role in her decision. Unfortunately, after a weight gain, she underwent a second breast reduction, which resulted in complications, including a seizure. She admitted that memories of the medical emergency still trigger her today.
