Singer Ray J says fear drove him to grab a gun during a heated entourage visit, but insists he never pointed it at Princess Love or anyone else.
The incident reportedly began when Princess Love’s cousin and her husband arrived at Ray J’s home early Thanksgiving morning, demanding to collect the couple’s children. Ray J told TMZ that while the trio was invited earlier to help prep Thanksgiving dinner, he became uneasy when they entered the private bedroom area “near his child.” He claims they were aggressive and belligerent and refused to take the kids while allegedly intoxicated.
As tensions escalated, Ray J says he grabbed a handgun. He acknowledges holding the weapon but denies ever intending to harm anyone.
“I would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love,” he said.
According to law‑enforcement sources, officers responded around 4:00 a.m. on a report of a domestic disturbance involving a deadly weapon. Ray J was booked on a criminal‑threat charge and released on $50,000 bail.
During the livestream that captured the clash, Ray J was heard threatening, “I’ll shoot the f**k out of you” and “I’ll kill you,” as voices of children and police sirens were audible in the background.
Princess Love, holding their daughter Melody, accused Ray J of pointing the gun at them, called him a “woman abuser,” and said she hoped he would seek help rather than “terrorize” their family.
It’s unknown when Ray J is due back in court.
