Adult film star Ron Jeremy was indicted on more than 30 counts of sexual assault by a Los Angeles grand jury.
Jeremy, 68, full name Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, pleaded not guilty to all of the counts on Wednesday. The charges stem from sexual assaults, including 12 rapes involving 21 women, spanning more than two decades. The victims ranged in age from 15-years-old to 51-years-old.
“His position is the same (as) when the criminal complaint was filed,” his attorney, Stuart Goldfarb, told CNN in a statement. “He is innocent of all charges.”
The grand jury handed down the indictment on August 19, and it was unsealed in court on Wednesday. The grand jury convened in secret, allowing the prosecution to avoid a public preliminary hearing.
Jeremy has been held on a $6.6 million bail in the Twin Towers Correction Facility since he was arrested in June of 2020. His next scheduled court date is in October. His trial does not have a start date at this time.
Jeremy is one of the most well-known porn stars. Nicknamed “The Hedgehog,” he starred in hundreds of adult films dating back to the 1970s.
