Sean Kingston has been released from a Broward County jail after being extradited to South Florida earlier this week. The 34-year-old artist is facing numerous fraud and theft charges, including accusations of committing over $1 million in fraud.
Kingston was seen leaving the jail with a fully-uniformed bodyguard. He kept his head covered with a t-shirt until he got into an awaiting Maybach.
Kingston’s arrest on May 23 in California followed a raid on his Southwest Ranches home. According to officials, Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, are accused of stealing $500,000 in jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and securing various loans from banks. They also allegedly took nearly $100,000 from a custom bed maker and $150,000 for an entertainment system.
During the raid, Kingston’s mother was also arrested in connection with the fraud case. This isn’t her first brush with the law; back in 2006, she served 18 months in prison for another fraud case.
Kingston was extradited to South Florida following his arrest after a concert performance in California.
