Just when you think you’ve seen the most outrageous chains, Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf has upped the score with a six-figure candy-inspired piece.
Metcalf now owns a $200,000 custom Juicy Drop Pop chain, a mind-boggling creation from celebrity jeweler Greg Yuna. The unique piece isn’t just a glittering tribute to Bazooka Candy Brands’ famous treat. It’s fully functional, doubling as a working candy dispenser, iced out in diamonds. Months of meticulous craftsmanship went into completing this over-the-top piece, which Metcalf debuted during ComplexCon 2024, explaining why he chose to have this necklace made.
“I am a huge fan of Juicy Drop Pop and as an investor in Bazooka Candy Brands, this collaboration felt like a natural fit for me,” Metcalf told Complex.
Metcalf, already known as the Candyman for his well-documented sweet tooth, solidified that reputation in August 2024 when he became an investor in Bazooka Candy Brands. Months ago, Metcalf flew to New York to meet with Bazooka Candy Brands, pitching ideas that included wearable candy jewelry. Therefore, fans may soon be able to own similar Juicy Drop Pop gems.
“I’m always looking for ways to redefine what jewelry can represent, and designing a functional Juicy Drop Pop chain for DK Metcalf allowed me to push those boundaries creatively,” Yuna also shared.
