Several individuals suffered injuries after riding the El Toro rollercoaster at Six Flags Great Adventure.
On Thursday evening, multiple reports went out regarding injuries on a rollercoaster in New Jersey. According to a spokesperson for the police department, the incident occurred around 7:30 pm.
The spokesperson says while most of the injuries were minor, several people were taken to a hospital for “bumps and bruises.”
Broadcastify’s audio revealed that some riders received medical attention for back and neck pains. However, many of them refused the gesture.
In 2021, New Jersey’s Department of Community Affairs closed down the ride for inspection after partially derailing. Luckily, no one was injured in that incident.
El Toro is a wooden rollercoaster that opened at Great Adventures in 2006. The ride became the main attraction of the Mexican-themed section at the New Jersey amusement park.
