Hip Hop legends Snoop Dogg and E-40 are going beyond blessing our ears to now blessing our stomachs. The two have teamed up to produce a cookbook.
The cookbook is titled Goon With the Spoon and will release this coming fall from Chronicle Books. It’s a sequel to Snoop’s, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from The Boss Dogg’s Kitchen, People reported. His first project includes some of the California rapper’s favorite recipes, from filet mignon to Frito BBQ twists.
As for Snoop’s Goon with the Spoon, the book will feature 65-plus recipes that take inspiration from Snoop and E-40’s music and the meals they cook and eat together. The collaboration is just another now under their belts, considering the two have been longtime music collaborators that represent the West Coast. In 2021, the duo formed the rap supergroup Mt. Westmore with Ice Cube and Too Short.
“E-40 is my big homie, my brother, my mentor,” Snoop wrote in the book’s foreword. “Watching him expand his love for food and cooking over the years to his many successful businesses is some boss-level shit. Which is why Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with the Spoon had to be the next cookbook, ya dig?”
“It’s the seriously entertaining new addition fans are hungry for,” the book’s publisher said of the upcoming cookbook.
This isn’t Snoop’s only venture into culinary. He has a friendship with Martha Stewart and had a recurring guest role on her cooking show. The two then went on to co-host their own celebrity cooking series and served as judges on the Peacock special Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween with content creator Alvin Zhou.
