Soulja Boy sure knows how to keep his name in headlines. Just a week after squashing his “beef” with rapper Lil Yachty, Soulja is now the topic of another discussion.
Recently Soulja Boy bragged about purchasing a lavish $6 million penthouse, but it turns out he didn’t purchase it at all. According to a few fans who did some digging, the home is actually an Airbnb rental and Soulja Boy is on Instagram straight flexin’.
New crib $6million penthouse
“Spent $6 million for the new penthouse in Hollywood,” Soulja Boy said in a video posted Tuesday. “Shit crazy. Last night was crazy. I don’t even remember what the fuck happened…My closet bigger than niggas’ apartments. I been to a couple of bitch’s apartments. My closet bigger than they whole apartment.”
However, it didn’t take long for fans to find the penthouse listed on Airbnb for a lofty $895 a night. In the rental description, which has now been removed, it said the house has been used in episodes of Entourage and under the house rules, warns against crazy parties.
Soulja Boy insists that the reason the home is on AirBnb is because HE listed it there and forgot to take the listing down. However, Shawn Kormondy and Katia Miramontes of Keller Williams Realty, the home’s listing agents, have had the 3 bedroom, $3.2 million pad has been for sale for months. No one has purchased it yet, so according to TMZ, the owner’s have been renting it out.
Soulja Boy also says he will be living in the home for a year. That much is true, because he did rent the penthouse for that long. Soulja Boy tells his Instagram fans, ” I’ve been in this bitch for about a month. I’m finna be here for another year. I don’t think you can rent no airbnb for a year straight. C’mon, man. Y’all just stop hating, man. Let me do me. I bought the Ferrari, ‘Oh, he rented the Ferrari.’ I get a new crib. Just let me do me. Y’all stop hating, man. Who cares, anyway? Y’all getting paid to figure out how I got my house, nigga this is my house.”
The home’s owners are willing to sell, so if Soulja Boy truly wants it, he better hop on it soon!
