Looks like there is a possibility that Donald Sterling’s comments could be costing him money. According to sports journalist, Nick Fasulo, State Farm is the first of many sponsors that may be pulling their sponsorship of the Clippers. He tweeted earlier today, “State Farm is pulling its sponsorship of the Clippers. Wow. Others expected to do the same. Steve Stoute is the CEO of Translation – a marketing firm with State Farm as a client. Seeing conflicting reports on his title. State Farm can and may very well be pulling out of any relationship with Clippers, but that does not necessarily mean RIP Cliff Paul.”Â
For those who don’t know who Cliff Paul, he’s Chris Paul’s “twin brother” who works for State Farm (He’s actually just a character Chris Paul plays on State Farm commercials…. maybe.)
Along with State Farm, Kia, Aquahydrate, Virgin America, Red Bull and CarMax have all reportedly suspended their sponsorships with the Clippers. As far as Chris Paul’s twin Cliff, he  could very well be safe and sound. Pulling sponsorship from the Clippers doesn’t necessarily mean that State Farm does not want to continue working with HIM as a player.  Good thing too, because I like Cliff and Chris.
