On August 31, friends and family members of the legendary #ArethaFranklin will gather one last time to celebrate the life and longstanding career of the Queen of Soul, at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit.
According to CNN, several will be taking the stage to pay tribute to the Queen. In fact, sources with knowledge of the forthcoming funeral say Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams and Jennifer Holliday are among those scheduled to perform.
In addition to special performances, The Detroit News reports that more than 100 pink Cadillacs are expected to be lined up outside of the church in honor of Franklin, and her hit song and ode to Detroit, “Freeway of Love,” where she sang about cruising in a pink Caddi.
Franklin died last week after a battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 76, leaving behind the legacy of a career that spanned across six decades.
