It’s no surprise that Suge Knight was not happy with his portrayal in Straight Outta Compton, and he allegedly turned that unhappiness into death threats against the film’s director, F. Gary Gray. This has resulted in Suge being indicted by a Los Angeles grand jury on charges of felony criminal threats.
According to TMZ, the indictment included the following, “On or about August 8, 2014, Suge threatened to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to Felix Gary Gray.” The indictment was actually handed down back in February, but for some reason we’re just hearing about it six months later. It’s unclear why there was such a delay on arraignment, but the former Death Row CEO is scheduled to be in court on Thursday.
Suge is currently in jail awaiting trial on a murder charge stemming from a hit and run during the movie’s filming back in January of 2015. He’s accused of killing 55-year-old Terry Carter with his F-150 pickup truck in a Compton parking lot.
Knight’s lawyer has yet to comment on the indictment.
