A second suspect has been arrested in a home invasion turned homicide, leaving 4-year-old Rowan Sweeny dead and four others injured.
On September 21 in Struthers, Ohio, the aftermath of a home break-in left Rowan to die in his mother’s arms.
According to People, referencing local reports, on Wednesday, as Brandon Crump, 17, was fleeing a home, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force was able to detain him for his “alleged role in the death of Sweeny.”
People reports that Sweeney died in his mother’s arms.
Charged with aggravated robbery and firearm specification, he is being held without bond.
Rowan’s mother and three other adults were injured in the shooting.
The alleged gunman, identified as 24-year-old Kimonie Bryant, was arrested hours after the deadly incident.
Charged with aggravated murder, Bryant has entered a not guilty plea. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death.
