On Tuesday, SZA took to Twitter to reveal that she passed on a magazine cover when they refused to provide a Black photographer.
“I requested a black photographer for a cover n the mag told me no lol its 2021.. and almost Juneteenth. Respectfully I can’t do it,” she tweeted.

When one user asked her to expose the mag, she declined, letting her followers know that’s not her vibe.
Das not my vibe but there’s TOO many elite black creatives rn to not allow it. https://t.co/mLnkVQr2uH

And to keep it positive, she shouted out Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, and Wonderland Magazine for all using Black photographers on recent covers. “Gotta celebrate when it’s right, too,” she wrote.
S/o @RollingStone @Cosmopolitan and @wonderlandmag btw for all using black photogs in our recent covers 💜 gotta celebrate when it’s RIGHT too ! 🙏🏾💛
