Tammy Slaton, star of “1000-lbs. Sisters,” has come out as pansexual.
A clip released by the show’s producers for an upcoming episode shows her opening up to Jerry, her boyfriend of two years, saying that being pansexual “means love is love.”
“I would date anybody, whether they’re transgender, straight, gay,” she added.
Tammy’s sister Amy and her husband, Michael, are also seen in the clip, which shows the group at a restaurant.
“I always thought I was bisexual, and then I started talking to one of my friends, and she told me she was pansexual, and I asked her kind of what it meant,” Tammy had previously stated in another interview on her realization that she was pansexual.
“It means you love everybody, not just the same sex. And I was like, ‘Well, I guess I am too,” because I wouldn’t mind being with someone who’s transgender, or whatever.”
Jerry says he still loves her.
“I’m happy because he took it pretty well,” Tammy says. “Acceptance of people’s sexuality is important to me.”
