While everybody is pretty divided when it comes to the Will Smith and Chris Rock altercation, Will’s former cast mate, Tatyana Ali, makes it clear who’s side she’s on.
Late Saturday night, Tatyana took to Twitter to express her opinions on the shocking moment that took place at the Oscars Award Show. While Ali says she doesn’t agree with the physical slap, she is going to continue to support Smith.
“I love #WillSmith very much. @chrisrock didn’t deserve to be hit,” Ali wrote. “Period. My heart aches for what has happened. I don’t know what caused that chaos & confusion, but I do know that Will has a big heart. I’ve seen him many times try his best to do what is right. I believe in him.”

Tatyana played the exuberant younger cousin to Smith on NBC’s hit show, “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.” Ali wasn’t Will’s only former castmate to speak out against the situation. Janet Hubert, who played Will’s Aunt Viv on the show, also gave her opinion on the matter.
“I cannot tell you how many times I have wanted to slap the mess out of so many folks who have disrespected me,” Janet tweeted. “Will stood up for his wife. Chris Rock is always disrespecting Black women. Mean spirited hides behind comedy.BULL.”
