Your favorite podcast is back again with another episode! On the 179th Episode of The Baller Alert Show, the cast focused on PNB Rock‘s untimely death, Mariah Carey‘s Atlanta house for sale, Ari Fletcher & MoneyBagg Yo, Baller Mail, and Sheryl Lee Ralph‘s Emmy speech.
The cast started the show by detailing PNB Rock’s death details. After sharing that he was murdered at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in Los Angeles, they addressed the many comments shared on social media where many blamed PNB Rock’s girlfriend for his death.
“Let’s just be real about it. A lot of people are on social media right now, blaming the girlfriend for posting the location. I’m going to say this you guys; we have to be careful with putting blame on someone, or one person in situations like this,” said Su Solo. She continued, “Someone could say, why was he walking around with that much jewelry and no security?”
The cast all agreed that artist in the Hip Hop community needs to be careful and move accordingly by traveling with security and not wearing large amounts of jewelry. Ferrari shared that LA could be distracting.
“Sometimes LA can really distract you because the weather is nice, it’s a great ambiance, and the scene is nice. It can kind of lower your paranoia to the point of where you’re like, ‘Alright, it’s cool, let’s go in there and grab something to eat real quick,” said Ferrari.
The cast continued with the show by sharing a story they heard on the radio.
“So there’s this woman, black couple, man, woman. She thinks that they are in a monogamous relationship. She believes that she is with a totally straight man. On their wedding day, she got her dress on, hair did, super excited to be marrying her man. Everybody here celebrating us. Then his ex-girlfriend leaks a video of him having sex with another man.”
The couple continued to get married and even shared shocking reactions.
“Damn, ok, she already knows what’s up and what happened,” said the groom. The wife continued, “At the reception is when I knew everybody knew. He’s trending. The video is old, and I know my husband is a freak.”
“I’m not judging a damn thing; I just know that’s not my preference,” said Ferrari.
“I think that she knew; I don’t think she was shocked,” said Su Solo
Love VS. Money
Ari Fletcher and MoneyBagg Yo were this week’s couple for Love VS. Money, where the cast discusses if the two are together for love or money.
The hosts shared their thoughts despite rumors of the couple breaking up.
“I think it’s a good, hood love on both parts,” said Su Solo.
The entire cast agreed that the two were in love.
Baller Mail
“Dear Baller Alert,
My man snores so loud that it’s starting to affect our relationship. We don’t even sleep in the same room. My issue is I need to cuddle with my man to fall asleep. So now I’m not getting the proper sleep because he either snores or he sleeps in another room, and I can’t sleep. I don’t know what to do; please help.”
“Just go to the doctor,” said Su Solo
The cast agreed that the wife should help him come up with a solution instead of shutting him out just in case his cause of snoring is health-related.
Before ending the show, the cast gave shout-outs to the Ethiopian New Year and Sherly Lee Ralph, who won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Abbott Elementary.
