At least 13 people were robbed at gunpoint over a span of seven days across three neighborhoods in New Orleans. But, it wasn’t until the culprits stole a cell phone in their final pickup that officials were able to crack the case.
On Saturday, according to NOLA.com, 19-year-olds James Warrick and Roy Cross, along with an unnamed 15-year-old were located and linked to the string of robberies, after officials tracked and traced back the stolen phone to their location.
Just hours prior, a woman reported she was robbed at gunpoint shortly after midnight. In her complaint, the woman said two men got out of a car and held a gun to her head, as they demanded her belongings. Minutes later, another armed robbery was reported.

However, in the first robbery, the victim said her phone was among the items snatched by the thieves, which prompted officials to track it to the 2000 block of Feliciana Street. Upon arrival, the car used in the reported robbery was found in the driveway of the home, and the three suspects were found hiding in the attic. Officials also found several items in the home that were reported stolen the week before.
