If you’ve ever dated a baller, you know their time is what they consider most valuable. At least any decent hours of the day, that is…unless you want to share your time with his entourage or children.
When you decided you want to date a baller, you have to understand that they will spend majority of their time geared towards making money. That IS how they became a baller in the first place, never forget. So, if he has money, he usually won’t have time. It’s opportunity cost. Your baller can shower you with money and anything that can make your life easier, which is great! Who wouldn’t want someone that can get a car service, or hell, a private jet for you with one phone call? BUT…there’s always a but…
When you want that emotional support, to talk, or even just a hug, it’s difficult for that man to be there. It’s not necessarily personal, remember that. But a lot goes into being “the man”. He expects you to be understanding of his time.
A man once broke it down to me in a way that was so simple, but really put things into perspective. He said, “When Im working during the day and get a solid 20-30 minutes free, I always have to choose whether I want to call my mama, my son, or you”. He helped me realize how much stress men can have in their lives when so many people depend on him.
So, before you stress your baller out, take the time to be a little understanding. Not saying he doesn’t need to TRY, but you need to try too. And if you want a man that can sit at home with you everyday for hours watching Maury and Cheaters, then Im pretty sure a baller isn’t for you.
The scale always tips to one side or the other when it comes to time and money. It’s up to you to pick what side works.
