Donald Trump is reportedly so angry with his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani that he has told his aides not to pay him.
According to The Washington Post, Trump is livid at his allies because he feels they should’ve done more to stand up for him as Congress moved to impeach him for a second time during his one-term presidency.
Trump will now enter future history books as the only sitting President to be impeached twice. The House of Representatives brought forth an article of impeachment charging the disgraced president with “incitement of insurrection.” The article was approved 232-205, with 10 of his fellow Republicans voting in favor of impeaching him.
Trump was charged for his role in inciting the riot at the US Capitol last week that left five people dead. The Senate is set to hold an impeachment trial within the next week or so.
In the meantime, Trump is said to be isolating himself from his aides and advisors. And his relationship with his personal attorney and long time friend Rudy Giuliani is now on the outs.
Inside sources told the Washington Post that Trump has refused to take Rudy’s calls and explained that Trump is “offended” that Giuliani is requesting to be paid ($20,000 a day) for the not so great job he’s doing of challenging the election results.
This move is the direct opposite of Trump’s initial instructions to his aides that he would personally approve any reimbursements to Giuliani for his travel while disputing the election results.
