Meghan McCain seems to enjoy being dragged on social media for her tone-deaf remarks she often spews on “The View.”
During Wednesday’s episode, the late John McCain‘s daughter once again allowed her tongue to get her in trouble by stating that Democrats need to address whether or not race and gender are more important than qualifications.
“If you have someone who is more qualified, who happens to be a white straight person, who on paper has more experience in whatever field they’re being nominated for than a minority with less experience, are we now in a place where this matters?”
Like clockwork, McCain’s comments spawned an almost immediate reaction on Twitter, who commenced to dragging the 36-year-old host and rightfully so.
Here we go again with the "minorities are never qualified" bullshit coming from conservatives.
Meghan McCain should be reminded that her party voted for Trump (a conman) who had NO political experience to be president of the United States #TheView pic.twitter.com/QvRn2a4zFM

She says this so unironically. There are so many women more qualified for this seat at The View than Meghan McCain – and yet, there she is. pic.twitter.com/GxY20cSjKP

Irony is Meghan McCain talking about “qualifications for the job” when her only qualification for being a co-host on #TheView was being John McCain’s daughter.

Everytime The View is trending, you know it's because Meghan McCain's dumbass said something fucking stupid 🙄. #TheView

I think Meghan Mccain just argued that she should be replaced by an Asian woman next season and I support that argument. #TheView #MeghanMcCain pic.twitter.com/DbQPR5M8az

All decent people hate Meghan McCain but the people who ought to hate her most are fellow beneficiaries of nepotism who put at least some minimal effort into seeming worthy of the privileges they've inherited. https://t.co/4MyDC74pSH

I feel like a LOT of POC could replace Meghan McCain based on qualifications alone. https://t.co/8HAS6T514p

Imagine being Meghan McCain and thinking you got your national television job because of qualifications. https://t.co/A8hhgxZPBO
