21-year-old Michael Wolford and 19-year-old Jaron Young plead guilty to the 2014 murder of 20-year-old Imani Porter in court on Friday.
The incident was reportedly a drug deal gone bad. According to sources, Imani Porter was selling eight brick tons of heroin when he was shot while in a car in the parking lot of a Steak ‘n Shake at The Waterfront Mall in Pittsburgh. Porter was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Witness Leevan Jefferson said that he was in the drivers seat of the car with Porter in the passenger seat, when Wolford and Young pulled the gun. A police detective testified that Young told him the gun went off accidentally when Porter tried to brush it away after Young pulled it and demanded the heroine for free.
Michael Wolford was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison and Jaron Young received 12-and-a-half to 25 years.
