Tyrese Gibson is a very busy man.
The “Fast and Furious” franchise star, who just announced he will be playing #TeddyPendergrass in an upcoming biopic, is now in talks to star alongside Jared Leto in a Spider-Man spin-off for Sony Pictures, called “Morbius.”
Leto is set to play the title character, Dr. Morbius, a scientist who suffers from a rare blood disease and attempts to cure himself with chaotic results. Instead of being cured, he actually becomes a living vampire antihero, who has a thirst for blood, fangs and superhuman strength.
Production kicked off this week in London with Matt Smith as a villain. Gibson is expected to play an FBI agent, who’s out to hunt down the living vampire.
The film is being directed by Daniel Espinosa, who is best known for directing the 2012 movie “Safe House” starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds.
No word yet on when the movie is due to be released.
