When it comes to Twitter, Wale tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve, so when a Twitter follower challenged Wale to a fight — Wale couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Well, he could but Wale will be Wale.
“You at Monday night raw fuckboy? Come see me in the ring and catch this stunner @wale,” twitter follower @chefboyrnach tweeted. He had no idea that Wale would respond, and respond Wale did. He asked the Twitter follower where he was, the twitter follower told him and alleged eye witnesses tell TMZ that Wale got up out of his seat and “the next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight.”
** Only problem is, it wasn’t a “smack down” or a “full on fight”. Several other sources say Wale simply pushed the other guy and other news outlets are trying to make it something it’s not. Womp! Womp!
Security broke up the “fight”, took everyone into a hallway and later Wale returned to his seat behind the announcers snacking on popcorn.
In 2011, I got the chance to ask Wale why he was so sensitive on Twitter, check out the video below to see what he said (starts at 1:34):
Listen, I understand that people can say some crazy things on Twitter. In fact, Wale has been getting it since his early days because frankly, he tweets like he’s MANstrating. But come on, you’re doing too much. And for what? To get sued for all of your Maybach Music checks?
I’m sure this is the point where shit got “real”…
