After a shooting at rapper Lil Baby’s concert Saturday night at Bill Harris Arena, one person has been hospitalized and is stable condition.
According to NBC News, the incident occurred in Birmingham, Alabama, after an altercation broke out on stage between a group of promoters and entourage members.
Amid the melee, shots were fired, and the concert was immediately shut down. Video of the incident went viral online, accumulating over a million views.⠀⠀
Struck in the crossfire, the victim was transported from the Arena to the UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
However, things have improved, and the unidentified victim in the case has been updated to stable condition, said Sergeant Rod Mauldin in a statement to NBC News.
According to local authorities, no one has been arrested nor taken into custody for connection to this crime.
On a more positive note, just last week, Lil Baby gave back to his home town by surprising students at his former high school with a performance.
The ‘Close Friends’ rapper also donated $150,000 to the school as a start-up for a scholarship program.
So far, one student has been awarded with a grant and will attend Dartmouth College beginning next academic year, according to Atlanta Public Schools Officials, NBC News Reports.
