Wendy Williams has had a tumultuous year so far, and for the remaining months, she’ll be putting together her own biopic alongside mega-producer Will Packer for Lifetime, and apparently, she’ll be spilling her own tea.
Sources at Lifetime told TMZ the biopic spans Wendy’s life from ages 10 to 55 and will cover super personal topics like her drug addiction, sexual relationships, body shaming from her family and even a never-before-told story of date rape at the hands of a chart-topping rapper.
The biopic will reportedly also reveal experiences Williams had with racism and sexism in Hollywood, as well as details from her marriage and divorce with Kevin Hunter and her relationship with Mo’Nique.
According to a Lifetime rep in an e-mail to Daily News, “A script hasn’t even been written yet so can’t confirm what will be covered.” However, the talk show host gave TMZ a little info about the movie herself expressing that she wants the actors for the biopic to be relatively unknown so that they don’t take away from her story.
In addition to producing, Wendy will also work with Leigh Davenport to write the screenplay. “Just Wendy” airs next year on Lifetime, with production set to begin this fall.
