G-Unit member Young Buck is back in the headlines, but not for his music. However, he did get a bit of good news.
The Nashville rapper has reached a plea agreement in a Sumner County case that has been winding through the court system for years. The deal brings closure to charges connected to a 2020 incident and cancels a trial that was scheduled to begin next week.
Buck was set to go to trial on January 12, 2026. That date followed an earlier delay from July 2024 after his attorney requested more time due to health-related issues. Instead of heading to trial, court records show Brown chose to resolve the case through a negotiated plea.
Brown pleaded guilty to domestic assault charges and a felony gun charge tied to the 2020 case. Under the terms of the plea deal, Brown will avoid prison time. Sentencing documents indicate he received eight years of community corrections. He was also awarded pretrial jail credit for time served between April 7, 2025, and May 7, 2025.
The agreement includes multiple conditions. Brown must complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days and follow all required treatment recommendations. He is also ordered to have no violent contact with Lucresia Neal, who was involved in the 2020 incident in which shots were reportedly fired.
Additional requirements include forfeiting all seized property and the firearm connected to the case, along with regular reporting to Sumner County Community Corrections. Failure to comply could result in further penalties, including jail time.
