Actress Yvette Nicole Brown recently chopped it up with Baller Alert and shared her most interesting career moments and accomplishments.
When asked about moments that she reflects on that makes her see how far she’s come in her career, she said the commercials she’s done make her notice her achievements. “I had a good run with commercials, but I think that if I were able to do a few now, I’d be a little bit better. There were a couple things I learned watching back commercials,” She said.
Elsewhere, Brown opened about the NAACP Image Awards, which celebrates people of color, and the honor of receiving a nomination. “I always heard people say it’s an honor just to be nominated, but I really realized that now because a friend of mine said, ‘the winning would be the sprinkles on a cake that already has icing.’ So I already have a cake with icing, the winning is the sprinkles. Sprinkles are great, but a cake is really good if it’s just cake & icing. So I’m learning to just celebrate that I already have the cake.”
