Police are treating the Lucki ComplexCon brawl as an attempted murder, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, after a fight outside the Los Angeles festival left four people injured on Saturday.
The violence broke out around 4:40 PM on ComplexCon’s opening day. Lucki was posing for photos with fans in a parking lot when someone struck him in the face, leaving him with a laceration. Moments later, another person was stabbed, and LAPD later found two more people who had been hurt.
Three of the four victims are in stable condition, and the fourth got themselves to a hospital. Police have not made any arrests, and it is still unknown how many suspects were involved.
Video from the scene shows Lucki disoriented and bleeding from his neck and jaw. He first heads toward the front seat of a black car before people around him guide him into the back, and the car drives off as a crowd watches.
Early posts online claimed Lucki was stabbed, but the exact nature of his injury has not been confirmed. People close to the rapper say he is recovering. Lucki reposted a fan video from ComplexCon to his Instagram Story around 4 AM Sunday, a sign he was alert after the fight.
Playboi Carti was at the scene, and footage shows him watching from his car as the brawl unfolds. Carti also served as one of ComplexCon’s artistic directors this year. There is no verified evidence he hit Lucki or ordered anyone to, and representatives for both rappers have not commented.
Fans have been connecting the fight to tension between the two that goes back to 2024. Around the release of Carti’s “All Red,” Lucki posted himself wearing a cross chain with the caption “Crosses up,” which many took as a jab at the upside down cross Carti has tattooed on his neck.
Complex has released its first statement on the incident. The company said security and LAPD responded and that it takes incidents like this seriously, but it did not name Lucki or address the reports about Carti’s camp.
