As the conversation around the allegations against R. Kelly grows louder, the singer was reportedly out and about last month with Joycelyn Savage, the young woman at the center of some of those claims.
According to TMZ, video it obtained shows Kelly shopping with Joycelyn in Chicago on April 28. The pair appeared relaxed in the footage.
Some background: in July 2017, Joycelyn’s father told TMZ that he believed Kelly was controlling several young women, including his daughter, and that Kelly had mistreated them and held them against their will. Joycelyn has personally said those claims are not true, while her father has maintained that he believes she has been brainwashed. Kelly’s representatives have denied wrongdoing.
Since then, other women have come forward with allegations against Kelly, which he has denied. Where Joycelyn is concerned, she has said she is fine.
