Soulja Boy Wasn’t Invited To Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, So He Started His Own Campus

After calling out Kai Cenat over Streamer University, Big Draco announced his own creator classroom, but his streaming history gives the move more context than the jokes suggest.

Soulja Boy Tried To Audition For Kai Cenat’s Streamer University And Couldn’t Make It Past Security

Soulja Boy saw Kai Cenat reopen Streamer University and immediately treated the rollout like unfinished business.

Now, Rapper University is the new plot twist. On June 9, Soulja posted to X, “If you don’t let me in Streamer University @KaiCenat we beefin. I let u slide the first time.”

That message arrived shortly after Cenat began promoting the 2026 return of Streamer University, his creator-focused bootcamp that has quickly become one of the biggest status symbols in livestream culture.

Then Soulja turned the pressure up on livestream. In a clip circulating online, he addressed Cenat directly and said, “Kai Cenat, you got one more chance.” He also pulled DDG into the conversation, making it clear that whatever streamer politics were happening behind the scenes had officially become public entertainment.

However, Soulja did not stay in “let me in” mode for long. Soon after, he announced his own answer to Cenat’s program: Rapper University. According to posts shared across his social channels, Soulja told followers, “Nevermind we doing Rapper University fwm who tryna come! Shit finna be a movie we shooting in atlanta.” Another post promoted the idea as “RAPPER UNIVERSITY ONLY ON twitch,” pointing fans back to his livestream lane.

The funny part is that this is exactly the kind of chaos Soulja Boy has always understood. Before every rapper wanted a Twitch clip, a viral TikTok sound, or a streamer co-sign, Soulja built his original rise through the internet. Billboard reported in 2007 that “Crank That” hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 after moving 71,000 digital downloads that week, turning a dance, a beat, and a computer screen into a full industry reset.

That history matters here because Soulja is not a random rapper discovering streaming after the money got loud. His Twitch presence has been documented for years. Back in 2020, his “Call of Duty” Twitch streams were a hit with fans, especially as the pandemic forced everyone inside.

His current numbers also show this is more than a one-off gag. TwitchTracker lists Soulja’s Twitch account as created on August 16, 2013, with partner status. Streams Charts lists his channel at about 874,000 Twitch followers, with more than 37 hours streamed in the last 30 days and a recent June 10 stream titled “SOULJA BOY TV | Episode 99 | Rapper University.”

He has also moved beyond Twitch. Kick’s official page for Soulja shows his verified streaming presence there, with more than 21,000 followers listed, while multiple entertainment reports stated in January 2026 that he announced a Kick partnership and used the moment to take shots at Twitch in a freestyle.

Meanwhile, Kai’s Streamer University is not some small creator meetup. The official Streamer University site is currently open for Class of 2026 applications, and the application page allows people to apply as students, professors, or club directors.

The first edition took place at the University of Akron from May 22 to May 25, 2025. The school said Cenat’s team estimated 23 million hours watched, more than 1 million applications, and more than 200 selected streamers, producers, and video crew members. Axios also reported this week that Cenat is the most-followed person on Twitch and that the first Streamer University offered all-expenses-paid instruction from top influencers.

So, yes, Soulja Boy turning a missing invite into Rapper University is hilarious. But it is also very on-brand. He has spent nearly two decades treating the internet like his personal campus, from MySpace-era music marketing to Twitch gaming streams to Kick broadcasts. Cenat may be the dean of the current creator economy, but Soulja is clearly reminding everybody that he had a syllabus before half the class had Wi-Fi.

No official dates, student list, or full structure for Rapper University have been announced yet. Still, the rollout has already done what Soulja usually does best: turn a complaint into content, turn content into a headline, and turn the headline into another reason people are watching.
