Real Boston Richey can finally breathe easy as his long-running federal legal battle has come to a full stop.
On February 3, 2026, a jury in Tallahassee officially cleared the rapper of drug conspiracy charges, marking a massive victory for the Florida native. Jalen Taheen Foster, better known to his fans as Real Boston Richey or just Boston Richey, stood trial alongside three other men, Rayshun Foster, D’Anthony Swatzie, and Jerdy Miller Jr., all of whom were also acquitted after a week of courtroom proceedings.
This legal saga has been hanging over Richey since 2023, when he was first hit with allegations of conspiring to distribute marijuana. While he managed to beat separate gun charges back in August, the jury couldn’t reach a unanimous decision on the conspiracy count at that time.
That deadlock set the stage for this month’s retrial, which ultimately went in his favor. Once the verdict was read, Richey didn’t hold back his excitement, taking to Instagram to share photos with his legal team and a clear message for everyone watching.
“What’s the point of fighting a n***a like Mayweather when we done beat the Feds,” he wrote, adding that he was officially getting his ankle monitor removed. “2 Times they say it’s only nice if you can do it twice ALL CHARGES DROPPED no more Feds!!!! leg monitor GONE🏁 Thank God for the amazing lawyers He Blessed Up With.”

The road to becoming a free man had some major bumps along the way. Last year, the rapper’s pre-trial release was almost snatched away when a warrant emerged from Houston over an alleged incident involving his ex-girlfriend outside a club. He was eventually allowed to remain out on bond, though he had to wear an ankle monitor while waiting for the retrial to start.
