Newly released LAPD dispatch recordings are providing a terrifying minute-by-minute account of the afternoon a woman allegedly opened fire on Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home. The 911 audio offers a play-by-play of the March 8, 2026, incident, capturing the high-stakes coordination between officers as they responded to reports of “approximately 10 shots” fired at the singer’s gated property.
The chaos began at 1:19 p.m., when a dispatcher alerted units to gunfire at the “upper gate” of the singer’s mansion. “PR [Person Reporting] believe the shots came from across the street… PR does not have visual,” the dispatcher can be heard saying in the recording.
According to the audio, the shooter was quickly identified as a woman with “blonde hair in braids” driving a white Tesla Model 3.
As the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, fled the scene, the air unit and ground officers coordinated a swift pursuit. The dispatchers noted that the car was “dirty at the bottom” and that a passenger or the driver was seen “firing a gun.” Within 30 minutes of the initial call, the audio confirms that the vehicle was located nearly eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, where Ortiz was taken into custody without further incident.
Rihanna was reportedly inside the colonial-style estate at the time of the shooting. However, it remains unconfirmed if A$AP Rocky or their three children, RZA, Riot, and Rocki, were present. While bullet holes were found in the property’s gate and an exterior wall, police confirmed that no one was harmed.
When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias stated.
Ortiz, who is from Orlando, Florida, is currently being held on a staggering $10.225 million bail on suspicion of attempted murder. While a formal motive has not been announced, investigators are reviewing the suspect’s social media, which reportedly included several erratic posts directed at the singer.
