50 Cent is taking shots at Rick Ross after the Miami rapper’s son, William Roberts III, reported being pistol-whipped and threatened with death during an encounter in Daytona Beach, Florida.
On Tuesday, October 20, 50 shared the alleged attacker’s mugshot on Instagram and used the arrest to mock his longtime rival.
The G-Unit founder opened his caption with, “Damn got the man arrested,” before questioning why William contacted law enforcement instead of turning to his father.
“Why he didn’t just call his dad. He probably called the cops for him. LOL”

The comment appeared to reference Ross’s former career as a correctional officer, a subject 50 has repeatedly used against him throughout their nearly two-decade feud.
The latest jab followed reports that William had accused a man of approaching him with a firearm, threatening to kill him and striking him in the head.
According to NBC 6 South Florida, the alleged assault happened October 11 near Bethune-Cookman University, where William previously played football.
Investigators said William was standing on a sidewalk talking to a woman when a vehicle approached. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Don Roberts III, allegedly exited the vehicle and confronted him.
Police said William believed the confrontation involved the woman because she had previously been romantically involved with Don.
According to the arrest report, Don approached William while holding a handgun, pointed it at him, and issued a threat that directly referenced Rick Ross.
“I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here.”
Investigators said the suspect then raised the firearm and struck William on the right side of his head.
WFTV Channel 9 reported that officers documented minor swelling following the alleged assault. William told investigators he did not require medical treatment.
After the confrontation, William reportedly got into his vehicle and returned home. He did not immediately contact authorities.
According to police, William reported the incident the following day and explained that he had initially remained silent because he feared for his safety.
During the investigation, William provided detectives with the suspect’s name and a possible date of birth. He later identified Don in a photographic lineup.
WFTV reported that investigators also reviewed city surveillance cameras, but the footage did not capture the alleged confrontation.
Don was arrested October 16 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
WKMG News 6 reported on October 20 that the suspect was no longer listed in the Volusia County Jail’s online inmate database.
The allegations against Don have not been proven in court.
While 50 Cent’s Instagram caption suggested that William should have contacted his father instead of police, investigators’ account describes a reported armed assault that resulted in criminal charges.
His latest comments also followed another round of public shots at Ross.
Just one week earlier, 50 discussed their longstanding rivalry during an October 13 appearance on “The Crew Has It” podcast.
50 was asked about his biggest rap feuds and brought up Ross’s history working in corrections.
“I tell you the most difficult beef to have… It’s when the person you’re beefing with is law enforcement,” he said during the conversation.
He went on to describe their rivalry as entertainment and suggested that Ross’s past employment influenced how seriously he viewed their disagreements.
Florida Department of Corrections records previously confirmed that Ross worked as a correctional officer from December 1995 until June 1997. His employment history became a major topic in their feud after the records surfaced publicly.
Their conflict dates back to 2009, when the two rappers exchanged insults through music, interviews, and online content. 50 repeatedly used the nickname Officer Ricky to ridicule Ross’s former occupation.
Their history has also involved William’s family.
50 brought Tia Kemp, William’s mother and Ross’s former partner, into their public feud in 2009 when she was preparing a book about her relationship with the rapper.
Earlier this month, 50 also mocked Ross following the rapper’s October 1 arrest in Miami Beach on unrelated domestic violence charges.
Complex reported that 50 shared news of that arrest with a mocking Instagram caption. Ross, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, publicly denied the allegations and maintained his innocence.
That case is separate from the reported attack involving William in Daytona Beach.
