Celeste Rivas Hernandez Father Breaks Silence -- Shuts Down Claims of Secret Payments From D4vd

A major shift just hit the ongoing investigation into Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death, and it places singer D4vd at the center of a grand jury’s focus.

According to newly surfaced court records, an investigative grand jury formed in Los Angeles County last November has officially identified the Texas-born artist as a “target.” Per ABC News, prosecutors allege he “may be involved in the death of 14-year-old victim Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who may have been a victim of foul play.”

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman also stated that D4vd is alleged to have possibly committed one count of murder. However, authorities have not charged or arrested the “There Goes My Baby” performer at this time.

The update follows a legal battle involving D4vd’s family. Court filings that were initially sealed in California later appeared in a Texas court, which led to their release. Prosecutors are reportedly seeking testimony from the singer’s mother, father, and brother. Earlier this month, the family argued that being compelled to testify would violate their due process rights, noting they received redacted affidavits connected to a prior Texas court order.

With d4vd now formally labeled as a target of the grand jury investigation, that resistance could face new legal pressure.

Celeste was reported missing from her Lake Elsinore, California, home in April 2024. In September, investigators discovered her remains inside the front trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to D4vd.

Since then, authorities have continued working to clarify how the teen and the artist were connected as the case moves forward.
