When Yung Miami first dominated rap alongside JT, industry support seemed automatic. Now, the rapper says the same people who once embraced her disappeared when things got complicated.

During a recent interview with Nessa on Hot 97, Yung Miami spoke honestly about the difficult road she has faced while preparing her debut solo album. The rapper admitted the past few years forced her to confront rejection, public scrutiny, and a music business that no longer feels as welcoming as it once did.
“Everybody pushed me out — left me for dead,” Yung Miami said during the conversation.
Her comments arrive after several turbulent years both personally and professionally. In 2023, City Girls released “RAW,” which became the duo’s final project before Yung Miami and JT eventually split paths. Around the same time, Yung Miami’s relationship with Diddy placed her directly inside headlines connected to the mogul’s ongoing legal troubles, keeping her name tied to controversy even when music was not the focus.
Now attempting to establish herself as a solo act, Yung Miami admitted the process has been emotionally overwhelming. She revealed there were moments while recording the album where she broke down in tears, explaining that stepping into unfamiliar territory without the same industry backing has taken a serious toll.
Despite the setbacks, the rapper continues pushing forward with new singles and features while trying to rebuild momentum on her own terms. Fans online remain divided, with some rooting for her comeback while others question whether she can fully separate herself from the drama that surrounded the last chapter of her career.
Still, Yung Miami sounds determined to prove she is not done yet.
