A Florida courtroom drama involving NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill came to an unexpected close last Friday when both sides quietly agreed to end the fight before a jury could decide the outcome.
The case centered on influencer and social media personality Sophie Hall, who has amassed over 2 million Instagram followers, and her accusation that Hill caused a serious leg injury during a football training session at his Southwest Ranches estate in June 2023. Hall filed suit in February 2024, claiming Hill applied “crushing force” during the drills and left her with a fractured tibial plateau requiring surgery and extensive rehabilitation.
According to Hall’s legal team, Hill became agitated after she knocked him backward during an exercise in front of onlookers. They argued he then charged into her during a subsequent drill, causing the injury. Hill’s defense countered that Hall either tripped over his dog, Chapo, or was hurt while voluntarily participating in a contact-style football workout — and knew the risks going in.
The two were not strangers. Hall had initially connected with Hill after enrolling her son in one of his youth football camps. Court testimony revealed the relationship eventually became flirtatious through daily messages, which led to Hall visiting Hill’s mansion for a multi-day stay. During depositions, Hall acknowledged she remained at the property after the injury and continued an intimate relationship with Hill. She also appeared to walk back some of her earlier claims, telling the court, “I said I got injured while playing.”
Jurors had already heard opening statements and Hall’s testimony before the settlement was announced. The financial terms were not disclosed. As Hill exited the courthouse, he quipped, “I’m going to Disney World.
The resolution comes amid a broader turbulent stretch for Hill, who was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this year following a knee injury, and remains entangled in a separate divorce and custody battle involving allegations of domestic violence against his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro — claims Hill has denied through his attorneys.
