During a sit-down with Charlamagne tha God, the City Girls rapper addressed why she supported Diddy in court despite the serious allegations and his eventual conviction on prostitution-related charges. She made it clear that her perspective comes from personal experience, not public opinion.
“I think in life you always get put in a situation where you gotta, you know, make a life decision,” she said. “And you gotta look back and say like, ‘What makes sense for me right now?’”
She explained that distance and reflection played a role in how she handled the situation. While she acknowledged the controversy, she stood firm in how she chose to move.
When asked about the character letter she submitted, Miami didn’t hesitate to explain her reasoning.
“I think I wrote a letter for a changed man,” she said. “I think that the man that I met and that I experienced was changed.”
She added, “I’m not gonna justify some bulls**t or like, support some bulls**t… It was a different experience, so that’s why I wrote the letter.”
Still, she understands the public’s reaction.
“I feel like, as people that’s supporting you… They gotta be able to connect with you,” she said, while also noting she values her privacy.
Miami also made it clear she can only speak about what she personally lived.
“I can’t speak to nothing that I don’t know of… I can only judge who I met.”
However, that loyalty came with consequences. She revealed, “I lost deals… I lost money. I lost relationships. I lost a lot.”
Now, Yung Miami is rebuilding her career and reputation with no regrets about her loyalty to the mogul.
