Sprite fans with a sweet tooth have a new reason to check the soda aisle this season.
Sprite Vanilla Frost has officially returned to stores, bringing its creamy twist on the classic lemon lime soda back for a limited run that lasts through February 3, 2026. This time around, the nostalgic flavor is sticking to one destination only, making Kroger the exclusive retailer carrying the drink nationwide.
The Coca-Cola Company confirmed the comeback in a statement, saying, “We are excited to announce year two of Sprite Vanilla Frost!” The brand describes the flavor as a blend that leans into comfort while keeping Sprite’s signature fizz intact. “Sprite Vanilla Frost combines the iconic crisp refreshing taste of Sprite with an exciting twist of smooth vanilla,” the description reads. “The result? A scintillating beverage that promises to delight and refresh customers, making it the MUST-HAVE drink of the season.”
The release quickly caught attention online after a Kroger shopper posted a photo of the bottles on Reddit. Soda lovers jumped into the comments with curiosity and early reviews. “Wow that’s really cool, I’ve never seen or even knew that a vanilla flavored lemon-lime soda existed..now I gotta try it,” one user wrote. Another offered a more specific tasting note, saying, “It tastes like drinking a vanilla tootsie roll.”
Popular snack and grocery account Snackolator also shared sightings of Sprite Vanilla Frost shortly after it landed on shelves. One commenter summed up the timing struggle many shoppers felt, writing, “Great right after I need my weekly grocery shopping I see this haha.”
The Vanilla Frost return follows a year of experimental Sprite releases. Earlier this year, Coca-Cola rolled out Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi as a Walmart exclusive. Walmart described that flavor as “a lemon-lime burst of crispness paired with a unique blend of citrusy and strawberry flavors.” Sprite Chill originally launched in April 2024 with a cool cherry lime variety, created using technology designed to deliver a cooling sensation “from the first sip to the last.”
For now, Vanilla Frost fans have a clear mission. If it’s not Kroger, it’s not happening.
