Talib Kweli has filed a defamation lawsuit against a website over social media posts and a story that he says damaged his reputation, according to The Blast, which obtained the court filing.

The suit names Turtleboy Sports, which Kweli says posted tweets referencing a separate story on a site called Buffalo Bruisers. That story contained serious allegations of sexual misconduct against the rapper. Kweli denies the allegations and calls them false in his lawsuit.

The Blast reports the lawsuit quotes several tweets from the Turtleboy Sports account that repeated or referred to the allegations. The Blast also clarified that the site is named Buffalo Bruisers and that it was created by Turtleboy Sports to publish that one story, which is the only story it has posted.

Kweli is asking for an unspecified amount in damages, saying the claims hurt his touring and record sales. Baller Alert has not seen a response from Turtleboy Sports to the lawsuit.
