Terrell Owens was taken to the hospital by ambulance last Thursday night for what TMZ reports was a suspected pill overdose.

He has since been released, and no other details have been made public. It is not clear what happened or whether it was accidental.

This isn’t the first time T.O. has been hospitalized under similar circumstances. In 2006, while he was with the Dallas Cowboys, he was rushed to the hospital after a reported reaction to pain medication. At the time, he held a press conference and said it was an accident.

Owens has been out of the NFL this season while recovering from knee surgery, and he has been open about dealing with money troubles.

Whatever happened, we hope T.O. is okay and has the support he needs right now.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day.
