A Houston woman named Brittany has filed a lawsuit against Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, claiming he is the father of her unborn child and that he pressured her to end the pregnancy. None of her claims have been proven in court, and Foster has not confirmed that he is the father.
According to local Houston station KHOU, Brittany says she is about 17 weeks pregnant. She told the station that Foster and his brother urged her to have an abortion, and that Foster sent text messages telling her she should not bring a child into the situation. She described herself on camera as scared and said she wants the same kind of life for her son that Foster would want.
Reports on the court filing say the suit accuses Foster of a pattern of extreme and outrageous conduct that caused her severe emotional distress. The filing reportedly also asks for child support, a restraining order and a DNA test to establish paternity.
Foster’s side has started to respond. TMZ reported that his own court filings accuse Brittany of seeking publicity and ask the judge to limit what she can say publicly. The Texans declined to comment when contacted by a Houston news station.
Right now this is one person’s account against another’s, and the court will have to sort it out. Baller Alert will keep you posted as more gets reported.
