Rihanna and her 7-month-old daughter Rocki Irish are front and center on the newest issue of W Magazine, but it was Rocki’s outfit that instantly stole the conversation. For her magazine debut, the baby wore a custom Dior Haute Couture diaper and matching headpiece, turning a nursery essential into luxury fashion.
The look was created under Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson, who confirmed the piece marked a first for the iconic fashion house. “When Rihanna asks for something, she is already ahead of what is happening. She is thinking outside the box. When she has an idea, I’m always trusting in the process. I trust her implicitly on anything she feels that is right to do.”
That statement says a lot. Rihanna didn’t just dress her daughter in designer clothes. She had Dior reimagine the diaper itself. Only Rihanna could make babywear feel like a runway concept and still make it look effortless.
Anderson also praised the superstar’s instincts, saying she “knows exactly who she is and what works on her. She knows how to interpret your creative vision and make it her own.”
The cover adds another headline moment to Rihanna’s growing family era. She shares Rocki with partner A$AP Rocky, along with sons RZA and Riot. Rocky also reflected on how motherhood has shaped Rihanna while keeping her same energy intact.
