A sex sting in Shiawassee County, Michigan, resulted in three arrests, one of which included the apprehension of a college track and field coach.
On Tuesday, Shiawassee County Sheriff Brian BeGone announced three men were arrested while trying to meet up with a 15-year-old girl, who actually was an undercover cop. Their arrests come as the 14th, 15th and 16th arrests that have come from Shiawassee Human Oppression Team (SHOT) sex sting bust.
The men’s ages were 65, 28 and a 35-year-old Belmont man who was identified as a college track and field coach.
“We’ve found people will travel,” BeGole told MLive-The Flint Journal. “We’ve arrested people from all over the place, and we hope our efforts will (mean) individuals will think twice before meeting up with underage girls and boys for sex.”
All of the men have been released after posting bond.
