The Tia Kemp 50 Cent beef is officially on after 50 mocked the arrest of the man accused of pistol whipping Tia’s son with Rick Ross, and Tia answered by dragging his ex Daphne Joy into it.
It started with William Roberts III, Ross and Tia’s 21 year old son and a tight end at Bethune-Cookman University. According to a Daytona Beach police report, William was standing on a sidewalk near campus talking to a woman on October 11 when a car pulled up. The driver got out yelling, then walked up to William with a gun in his hand and pointed it at him.
“I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here,” the man allegedly said before hitting William on the right side of his head with the gun.
William drove home. Police say he did not report it right away because he feared for his safety. When he did come forward, he told officers he believed the confrontation was about the woman, who had previously dated the suspect. He had minor swelling and declined medical attention, then picked the man out of a photo lineup.
Police booked 20 year old Don Roberts on October 16 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. His booking record lists no bond on either charge. Despite the shared last name, he and William are not related.
That’s where 50 Cent came in. He reposted the news on Instagram and went straight for Ross. Damn got the man arrested, why he didn’t just call his dad,” he wrote. “He probably called the cops for him. LOL.”
Then he took it further. 50 posted Don Roberts’ booking sheet and mugshot and claimed he was coming to the rescue. “I got him he will be out tomorrow I’m sending @drewfindling,” he wrote, tagging the celebrity defense attorney. “This is a big misunderstanding that can easily be resolved. This was a street fight, I mean STREET FIGHTER is in theaters! LOL.” Findling has not publicly confirmed he is involved, and the booking record still shows no bond.
Tia was not laughing. She fired back with a photo of 50, Daphne Joy and their son Sire smiling together, and her caption did not hold back. “[Expletive] @50cent U wanna play?” she wrote. “U have NO room to post anyone’s child.” From there she made a graphic sexual claim about Daphne during her pregnancy with Sire and called 50 an “emotional simp.” The post pulled more than 20,000 likes and over 8,000 comments.

The swipes are where things got messier. Tia included sexually explicit images she claims show Daphne Joy, a reference to the video of Daphne and Diddy that flooded social media in June. DJ Vlad said at the time that the video was authentic, and 50 responded back then by writing that Daphne was not the victim, Sire was. It has not been confirmed that the images Tia posted came from that video.
The Tia Kemp 50 Cent fight hits a nerve 50 has pressed himself. He has used Sire against Daphne publicly more than once, including earlier this month when Daphne laughed off questions about an alleged encounter with Kanye West and Bianca Censori, and 50 asked how their 14 year old son felt about it. Tia just turned that same move back on him.
50 did not match her energy. He posted a throwback photo of himself on the floor in a red shirt, a camera in hand, with a woman in red heels standing over him. “Damn Tia you sound tougher than ya boy, I ain’t got time to argue with you,” he wrote. “You see my new movie STREET FIGHTER it’s #1 you know I love you girl.”

Rick Ross has not publicly responded to 50’s posts about his son. Daphne Joy has not responded to Tia either.
The Tia Kemp 50 Cent back and forth is the latest chapter in 50’s long running beef with Ross, which has now pulled in the mother of Ross’ son, the mother of 50’s son, and the man accused of putting a gun to William Roberts III’s head.
