Timbaland and his wife Monique Idlett Mosley have been married for five years but now it looks like the two are calling it quits. Monique is asking for alimony as well as child support for the couple’s 5 year old daughter AND child support for Monique’s 10 year old son from another relationship. Do you think that’s fair?
Monique says that Timbaland has publicly and privately proclaimed her son as his own so therefore he is considered the boy’s father. There are many similar instances where the law has agreed. Not only is Monique asking for child support, she wants Tim to fork over the cash for private school, summer camp, life insurance and vacations.
Aside from the children, Monique is requesting money while divorce proceedings are pending, she wants a lump sum, she wants “rehabilitative alimony,” and permanent alimony. Timbaland is worth around $80million and it’s obvious that Monique is trying to get as much of it as she can. With that said, I wonder what he did to make her hit him where it hurts like that!
Do you think Monique is going over the top or are her requests reasonable for someone with Timbaland’s fortune?
In the future, maybe Timbaland shouldn’t marry a girl simply because she reminds him of Aaliyah.
