Who’s a good boy? One Los Angeles man says pet play is a big part of what keeps his marriage close.

Tony, who goes by “Tony Bark” in the pet play community, described himself as a “human pup” in an interview that circulated online in October 2018. He said he enjoys animal role play, including playing fetch, tug of war and moving around on all fours, and that it has brought him closer to his husband, Andrew, whom he calls his “handler.”

Tony said the hobby comes from childhood play he never grew out of. He described it as “a way for me to feel vulnerable and exposed and close to my partner.”

Andrew said he fully supports his husband’s interest. He explained that his part mostly means giving Tony plenty of attention and praise. Andrew also said the couple does not make pet play sexual, though he has nothing against people who do.

The couple also own three real dogs, which they call “bio dogs.” Tony said he knows he is not an actual dog and that the role play is about getting into the headspace of a dog. He added that he thinks of himself as a pup every day but does not do pet play daily.

According to the interview, Tony and Andrew have belonged for more than six years to the LA Pony and Critter Club, a role play group founded by a woman named Ann. Tony said he has won dog show style competitions, including two best in show awards. Ann said the group gives her some of the best moments of her life.

Everything above is as described by Tony, Andrew and Ann, and Baller Alert has not independently verified it. What do you think about it?
