Every app wants to be TikTok, the most popular entertainment app right now.
At first, Instagram tried overdoing reels, which backfired; now, Twitter is adding a For You page, which is known to be a staple to the video app.
The new phone change will be hitting IOS users first. Twitter took away the star button initially and replaced it with For You, and now it has the following button Following. Now when you open the tab, it’ll say For You.
For You is customized to your interests of what you like and what you could possibly like on TikTok. Now on Twitter, the For You page will show tweets you may be interested in instead of in chronological order.
The Verge reports that this isn’t the first time that Twitter has copied something from TikTok.
On Tuesday night, Twitter tweeted about the update.
“The ‘For you’ and ‘Following’ tabs replace ‘Home’ and ‘Latest’ and will be pinned to the top of your timeline so you can easily switch between them. Swipe to switch timelines instead of tapping the icon.”
Some people are not happy with the update and do not care.
