Tyrese reportedly checked himself into Cedars-Sinai on Thursday for chest pains and anxiety. According to TMZ, the singer has been under heavy stress over the court case involving his young daughter, after a hearing that lasted for hours in which his ex wife asked for a permanent restraining order against him.
TMZ reports Norma alleged in court that Tyrese physically abused their daughter and that someone has been following her. She told the judge she fears him at times and alleged he has put his hands on her in the past. Tyrese has denied all of the claims and says Norma is bitter about his remarriage.
TMZ also reports Tyrese says the restraining order rests on a story his daughter was coached into telling. In docs he filed, he says the only evidence against him is his daughter’s account, which leads him to believe she was told what to say. He has not directly accused Norma of coaching her, but says it happened while the child was in her care.
Tyrese also says the only domestic incident between the former couple was a text in which Norma wrote that she wanted his fingers cut off. TMZ reports Norma admitted sending the text. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
